Wild Honey @ Scotts Sq

Look at the extensive range of brunch, how to choose sia? makes me want to eat everything just by looking at the descriptions!

Everything is just so nice can, even their desserts gave me a hard time choosing...

Opposite table settings at every table..

bf loved their cappucino $6, we even gave a compliment to their awesome staffs for the awesome coffee, we even overheard a table next door giving good feedback on their coffee.. and their staff told us that they actually used common man roasters' coffee bean for their coffee... and I was like no wonder it has a strong and rich aroma..

My usual earl grey $7 didn't ask which brand of tea leaves they used, but it was still awesome... on the menu they mentioned organic sri lanka earl grey though...

Every angle and inch of the restaurant is just so rustic and cosy... love the furnitures and the interiors!

My corsican $20 breakfast that day, wasn't used to the goat cheese taste in my omelette, but I still managed to finish them, love the tomatoes the most -.-

Bf's Scandinavian ($26) breakfast, both bf and I found the rosti really disappointing, they were fried a tad to crispy, and it was so dry, the rosti bits kept poking on the inner walls of ur mouths and kinda had a bad experienc chowing down the rosti... Salmon was juicy and tender, but had a fishy smell. asparagus and tomato was grilled awesomely...

And the highlights! Waited damn long just for them to prepare this dish for me! Freshly prepared awesome apple crumble pie served with good quality vanilla bean ice cream that cost $8.50... I'm telling you this is a must try! Superbly yummy and worth the money...

Though they are slightly pricey, but for what its worth and the awesomely good coffee and service provided, definitely will come back again... They have 2 outlets, but i highly suggest the Scott Sq one, as you can make reservations. They are located at;

333A Orchard Rd, 238897

Robert Trimms @ Orchard

Ultra huge macaroon($6)! Mango flavor, but honestly i don't taste any mango, it was just an affordable huge macaroon to me... Still love the ultra huge one i had at au chocolat's bistro, their white chocolate macaroon i had there 2 years back was just splendid!

My usual cuppa earl grey $7.50..

Pretty looking strawberry cupcake $5.60... But the cream was every bit ew! Too much, too jelat, too redundant... Cake was ok only... Conclusion? Looks maybe deceiving, looks pretty, but taste -.-

Ice cafe latte $7.30, bf finds their coffee pretty palatable...

Verdict? Would much rather go to TCC for desserts and drinks..

They are located at:

Assembly ground @ The Cathay L1

Brought bf to the assembly ground most recently to try a new cafe for dinner, and apparently when we went there they were experiencing a full-house, so we left our name and number, and managed to get seats within 20minutes, which was quite the awesome..

Rosehip Hibiscus tea that I ordered tasted surprisingly appetizing, first try with Hampstead brand of teas..

Awesome beef chilli fettucine, le bf and I both loved it.. Definitely a good dish to recommend..

Awesome crispy rosti though pretty petite, omelette was just the right portion.. Also the cheapest brunch dish on their menu...

The only cake that got me interested with their desserts, pretty awesome earl grey citrus pound...

Oh and they have this organic cane sugar bottle on every table, and it tasted great with my tea... I usually drink my tea sugarless, but with the rosehip tea that I ordered, with the sugar it tasted so much better..

Definitely will come back here again, I saw some reviews on their awesome iced drinks, like matcha, but i didn't order cause I wanted to save some tummy space for desserts...

They are located at Level 1 of Cathay...

W39 cafe @ west coast

Went to W39 last month, know about them through their colorful rainbow cakes on instagram... Made reservations so I got my group of 6 a cosy indoor seat..

Awesome homemade ice lemon tea ($4)..

Ice chocolate ($6.50) that my friend ordered..

Prawn & Ham Linguine ($18.50), awesome big and succulent prawns.. 2 friends & i liked it, but the other who preferred it without chilli got a really bland version of this, and hence didn't like it all, texture of noodles was al dente though...

Wagyu beef burger($20), one friend liked it... And one friend didn't as he didn't like due to the fact that the burger seems normal to him and he didn't like the type of fries they used, which on the contrary i found rlly nice?

And the dish i ordered, Baked caesar salad($10.50), first time having warm salad! So yummy i love it ttvm! Will come back just to eat this...

The supposed highlight of the cafe, Rainbow Cake (forget the price but less than $10) but the verdict? Better than bakery chef, but definitely won't order this next time at this cafe, not to my liking at all, taste just meh...

Apparently I could have taken a bus from my house area to get to this ulu place situated where all the bungalows are at the wesr coast area near the West Coast recreation club.. But instead dumb me walk from clementi mrt, and it took a good 15-20mins z.z

They are located at 39 Jalan Mas Puteh (Do google for the right directions) http://www.w39bistro.com/location
And call them for reservations : /9646 3572

Banana Leaf Apollo @ Little India Arcade

Went with a few friends to this place a few years back, and have been craving for it ever since..

Awesome huge $4 fresh coconut drink

Chickn biryani set at $9.90, if you wanna save money, then that's the set for you, otherwise their food are served in 1 person portions, and can be pretty pricey depending on what you order...
Otherwise you can order ala carte like what I did to share with my friend, Biryani rice with veg at $3.50 and it is free flow! yes you heard me right, guys sure like it one, endless refill of rice and their two types of vegs, usually cabbage and brinjals...

Left side is prawn masala, look at the gorgeous prawn below, and right side is butter chicken masala.

Well, if you guys don't mind their pretty lousy service due to the fact that you can only place a order with a few specific waiters, as some waiters just serve and do not take orders from you... we called the waiters for nearly 10 times till we managed to get them to take our orders... otherwise the food served here has pretty good quality and taste..

They are located in between tekka market and the verge, at the shophouses at;
Little India Arcade, 48 Serangoon Road #01-32 s217959

MEDZ @ Orchard Central

Most recently, I was at MEDZ with the bf... look at their pretty ornamental lightings, got a booth seat! :)

Got pretty ambitious with my ordering... XD

Bf ordered spaghetti beef bolognese, which was al dente, he finished them..

What most people would usually order at medz or marche.. I got the plain rosti, and how i eat it is usually spam chilli sauce and mix with the sour cream to accompany my every bite... Awesome texture..

Spanish omelette was really just one pax portion, so was the wings... Omelette was so-so, prefer the one i whipped up years back during IS classes at NP.. Wings wise, tasted like the bedok 85 wings, so for the price i paid, it was not worth?

Desserts galore!!! XD

Light and fluffy texture, not too sweet, not too jelat with the cream, but still can't fight au chocolat's fluffiness...

Earl Grey creme brulee! Like i love earl grey ttvm! This was okok? Partially cause the sugar on top was too burnt for my liking, plus the dish was so shallow, the portion of earl grey creme was so meagre...

This meal cost us $80, will only come back for their rosti though, heard service during peak hours is mad bad, cause they are pretty shorthanded... And i recently gotten a taste of their bad service last week... Though their beef kebab was not bad, tender and tasty! I dont think u guys nd address for this place, just located at B2 of orchard central... U guys shld go during non-peak hrs, as their svc was not that bad then...

Lim soup @ Bukit Merah

Lim Soup
Block 161 Bukit Merah Central, Dong Fong Fatt coffee shop
Open: 11.30am to 8pm or till sold out (Mondays to Saturdays), closed on Sundays and public holidays

I've been staying at redhill for the longest of time, and I didn't even know this shop opened till I started my new job in the vicinity in June... Apparently, a handful of bloggers as well as online news have been publicizing about how nourishing and awesome their soup are...

Their soup has no MSG, and they always serve a portion of lightly flavoured cabbage with their rice... and you can choose the rice as well, of course brown rice is always better then white rice, keeps you more filled as well... One of their signature soup is their double boiled old coconut chicken soup, and i reckon it is the best, though slightly pricier than the rest of their soups, sweet and light soup with tender chicken meat at $7.50 it was very worth, and honestly my favourite among all the soups that I've tried at their store...

Then they have a few variants of their steamed chicken patties, either with salted egg, with mushrooms, or with salted fish, costing $3.50 on its own, or the storeowner will drain the gravy into your porcelain bowl of rice then place the patty on top for an additional 50cent for white rice and 80cent for brown rice.. I've tried all of their patties and love it, not too salty, sweet and tender...

Definitely a must try! but if you're comparing to those chain food court soup stores or hawker centre stores, of course their price will be 50 cent cheaper, their soups are tasty as well and sometimes you get refills of soup with them... But well at Lim Soup, all I can is, you're paying every cent worth, from their rice to their patties to their no msg soups!

XOXO,

CheryL
