The Waffle @ Bugis

Hi guys! I bought some pretty looking belgium waffles from bugis's basement today! Though they were a lil pricey at $2-2.50 per pc. I bought 6 for a slightly cheaper price of $10.60. Its my 1st time purchasing from them, and i just had a bite of one of the waffles, and found them pretty good, so here i am to review about them...

I know they look pretty simple, and you cant tell what flavours they are from the picture, they pretty much look plain flavoured right? But they are all stuffed waffles! They are not the crispy type of waffles, but somewhat like donuts, crispy sugar crystal crust layer on top, and fluffy texture with fillings... From bottom row, left waffle, i have taro, chocolate & thai custard. From top row, left waffle, i have mixed fruit, maple and red bean...

I chose the red bean one for tasting, it was nice to be able to bite onto the crispy sugar crust, and though they had red bean in it, this was not too sweet. Haven't tried the rest, but im assuming they will be good... Their thai custard's filling look like the one in the jars of the roadside crepés store that we see in bkk!

If you guys ever get bored of eating JCo cream filled donuts, or jollibean's or mr bean's pancakes, u guys can try this for novelty, but buy more, cause buying one is a lil pricey for me(partially cause belgium waffles are meant to be small). They have a website though, u guys can check them out at www.thewaffle.com.sg :) That's it for now.

Xoxo,
CheryL
