Nakhon Kitchen @ Hougang

Went trying new food again last weekend! Look at the ubber long queue at Nakhon Kitchen, i went to the branch at hougang, and surprisingly the queue was quite fast, i thought it would take 0.5-1hr at least... But i got seats only after a 20mins wait... FYI, the part of the queue where I was standing was the 6pm sharp queue on a saturday night..

My usual must order thai drink! Lemongrass, quite sweet as usual.. (Too used to my homecooked sugarfree ones)

Lé bf's awesome Thai tea, i liked it, so did he..

Tom yam seafood clear soup! Spicyness and fragrant and awesome ttvm... Do not underestimate the clearness of this soup!

Saw that they have this on their menu, at $4 for 2 piece, kinda ex to some people, but i reckoned it was worth every dollar that i paid for the quality... The stuffed filling in the chicken wing was so awesome, like chicken pie filling but use sotong ball paste that kinda thing? Don't know how to describe, golden crispyness on outside, best eaten piping hot..

Sambal Kangkong was awesome! The spicyness and fragrance of the sambal was just right for me, but a pity we couldn't finish it cause there was too much food for 2 to eat (as usual i over-ordered, every dish too tempting)

I would consider this as mediocre green curry chicken dish, its is nice but i reckon not lemak enough, and lack the heavy spices kind of feel... and it was artificially green in my opinion.. I always thought its supposed to be an old yellowish-green kinda color due to the green chillis and herbs used...

Bf reckons this phad thai tastes better than diandin leluk, but otherwise nothing to complain about, he finished this..

Forgotten how much we spend on this 5 dishes and 2 drinks, but it was definitely less than $50 and much more worth it than diandin leluk... :)

They are located at;

Daily: 12:00 - 15:00
Daily: 17:30 - 22:00
XOXO,
CheryL
